What the storm did to roofs in Northeast San Antonio
The September 11, 2026 NWS warnings listed San Antonio, Alamo Heights, Terrell Hills, Olmos Park and the northeast side as impacted, with golf-ball hail near Kirby stepping down to quarter and nickel size as the storm moved southwest toward China Grove and Stinson Airport. CPS Energy reported more than 8,000 customers without power citywide, most on the east side.
What we see on Northeast San Antonio roofs
Inside Loop 410 the roofs skew older and more varied: tile, low-slope, and multi-layer shingle roofs that need careful inspection. Out toward 1604 it's the same architectural shingles as Converse, with the same bruising pattern on north- and east-facing slopes.
